Large holiday rental in the Ardèche: how to make your vacation with 15 family members or friends a success

Planning a reunion or a vacation for a group of 15 is a wonderful idea, but it often presents a logistical challenge. The secret to a successful stay? A venue that offers both spectacular communal spaces and true pockets of privacy, allowing everyone to move at their own pace. Welcome to Domaine de Miegessolle, a family farmhouse designed for living on a grand scale.
1. The perfect balance between privacy and shared living
The main friction point during large group trips is a lack of personal space. Forced proximity can quickly dampen the mood. Our farmhouse's architecture was designed specifically to avoid this trap.
The layout of the sleeping areas creates a welcome natural separation: adults enjoy absolute peace in the independent suites located on the first floor (East and West wings), each with its own en-suite bathroom. Under the eaves, the Loft becomes a truly modular and playful kingdom for children and teenagers. They can play, chat, and make the space their own in complete freedom, without disturbing the adults' rest. The large living room and common areas then return to what they should be: places for gathering by choice, not by necessity.
2. Around the table: conviviality without compromise
Cooking and dining are the beating heart of a vacation. In a standard house, preparing meals for 15 people quickly becomes chaotic. Here, the space is completely open and fluid.
While some gather around the central island on bar stools for drinks, others can work in the kitchen without ever feeling isolated. For dinner, the centerpiece of the house awaits you: a monumental dining table over 4 meters long. Crafted from a single piece of a unique tree—a rare artisanal feat by our carpenter—it comfortably seats 15 guests for unforgettable moments of connection.

The possibilities extend outdoors. Even during a summer shower, the large covered terrace allows you to dine outside or extend the evening in its cozy sheltered lounge area. And when the sun is shining, tables can be set up directly under the benevolent shade of the estate's large trees.
3. Peace of mind for parents: invisible but total security
A successful vacation for children is one where parents can finally let their guard down. With 4 hectares of land and a large swimming pool, safety is our absolute priority. We have implemented rigorous measures to ensure total peace of mind:
- The upper terrace is entirely enclosed and secured by a sturdy little gate, preventing little ones from accessing the stairs and the grounds without supervision.
- The pool area is fully surrounded by fixed safety barriers. The direct access door from inside the farmhouse remains locked, and entry from the park is via a standardized safety gate that is completely impenetrable to young children.
- The pool 10x5m pool comes with a separate small pool, a true secure paddling area where children can get used to the water and play under the watchful, relaxed eyes of their parents.

4. Spontaneous intergenerational moments
What brings grandparents, parents, teenagers, and young children together? Shared leisure time. The Domaine is a playground where generations naturally cross paths throughout the day.
We often witness precious moments: a grandfather teaching his grandchildren how to play billiards or foosball in the game room, an impromptu soccer match on the large lawn, or an intergenerational pétanque tournament on the court as the day cools down. For those seeking peace and quiet, the terraces and garden offer perfect shaded reading nooks, just steps away from the laughter at the pool.
Bringing your loved ones together in a secure, warm, and upscale setting: that is our vision of a grand vacation.
